“The Founding Fathers intended the Electoral College to stop an unfit man from becoming President. The Constitution they crafted gives us this tool. Conscience demands that we use it. Together, we can stop Trump when the Electoral College votes on December 19th:”
Join the movement on Facebook:
“As Presidential electors, we have the Constitutional right to vote our conscience and the responsibility to unify behind the best person for the job when the Electoral College officially meets on December 19. In Federalist 68, Alexander Hamilton tells us why the Founding Fathers created the Electoral College: to prevent an unqualified demagogue who is under foreign influence from taking over the nation’s highest office. Trump fails the Founding Fathers’ three part test for the presidency — he is unqualified, he is a dangerous demagogue, and he cannot prove his independence from foreign nations. This means Trump as commander-in-chief is a clear and present danger to national security, and he will likely do permanent damage to the Bill of Rights, if inaugurated. Men like him are why the Electoral College exists as a Constitutional check and balance against popular, but unqualified, leadership for our country.”

I Hear America Weeping

Social Justice For All

libertyweepsI hear America weeping today, November 9, 2016. No, this is not Walt Whitman’s poem, I Hear America Singing. This is a song of woe, a song of anguish, a song of despair.

How is it possible that a person who sold nothing but pure hate could be elected President of the United States? A man’s whose venom reached Muslims, Latinos, the entire LGBTQ community, and all women is now President Elect? How? When Gollum’s understudy, James Comey, released his red herring of Hillary’s emails (which of course was NOTHING) days before the election, it managed to turn the conversation away from the dozen of women who have been sexually assaulted by Donald Trump. A man who admitted to cheating the government out of paying taxes — taxes that people in poverty and middle class people have to pay. For his loyalty, Comey will not lose his job.

And What Should They Know of England Who Only England Know? — The Quiet Ripple Defines The Pond

I awake, still stunned by the absurdity of the UK voting to leave Europe. A quick Kipling break: “WINDS of the World, give answer! They are whimpering to and fro— And what should they know of England who only England know?— The poor little street-bred people that vapour and fume and brag, They are […]

Welcome to Oak Hill Farm

Welcome to Oak Hill Farm of Sonoma, 25 acres of productive farmland nestled against the western slope of Mayacamas Mountains in Glen Ellen, CA.

For more than fifty years, we have grown flowers and produce using sustainable agricultural practices, and in this temperate Mediterranean climate we are privileged to harvest over two hundred varieties of vegetables, fruit, flowers, perennial greenery, and herbs as they naturally come into season.

Our farm is part of a larger 700-acre property permanently held under conservation easement as protected wildland and also the founding property of the Sonoma Land Trust. We farm responsibly with our natural resources and respectfully alongside our native California oak woodlands and wildlife. It is our mission, and always has been, to farm in balance with nature.
